A total of 180 new dump trucks purchased by Jakarta Cleanliness Department have finally arrived in Jakarta. Those trucks cannot be operated due to still undergoing vehicle road worthiness test (KIR).

“ Our trucks have yet arrived all, but only 180 trucks for this time. Currently, they are still undergoing KIR test ,” said Head of Jakarta Cleanliness Department, Isnama Adji, at City Hall, Thursday (10/15).

Adji added that according to the plan, as many as 50 out of 180 units will operate in the communal work led by Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat in East Jakarta, which falls on Sunday (10/19).

“Mr. Djarot wants those 50 new trucks to be operated during communal work,” he expressed.

He is targeting the rest 172 dump trucks can arrive and operate by the end of this year to directly distribute to respective area of Cleanliness Sub-Department.

“By the end of this year, 352 trucks can be operated, that’s our target,” he closed.
